The National Domestic Violence Helpline provides confidential support and information to women and children affected by domestic violence. Information and support is also provided to friends and family seeking to support women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced domestic violence.
The Respect Phoneline is an information and advice line for people who are abusive towards their partners. This Phoneline is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10.00 am - 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

The Samaritans offer help by telephone, email, letter and face to face in most of their branches. They are available in the UK and Ireland.
There are many other places and people to seek help from. Sometimes just talking to someone helps – a trusted friend, your doctor or someone from your church or faith community can be a great support.

Loan sharks are illegal moneylenders who often charge very high interest rates and often take advantage of gamblers, sometimes targeting victims while they gamble. You can check if a company is authorised to lend money and report loan sharks anonymously using the links on this government website.
