Casino games
A casino is a venue that offers blackjack, craps, baccarat, sic bo and poker. Casino games are also available via the internet.
Chance
The likelihood of something happening.
Chance-based gambling
Gambling that is entirely random where nothing can be done to control, influence or predict whether you will win or lose. In chance-based gambling, all players have the same likelihood of winning.
Examples include lotteries, roulette, punto banco, bingo, gaming machines and online casino games.
Compensated machine
Compensated gaming machines, while still unpredictable in terms of prize distribution, pay out over a relatively short period (eg across tens of thousands of games). The chance of a winning a prize may vary based on the past performance of the machine (be more or less generous depending on whether it is below or above its average return to player percentage).
Crane grab machine
A gaming machine that uses a mechanical grab arm to try to pick up a prize such as a soft toy and drop it into the chute.
Craps
Craps is a casino dice game in which players bet against the casino on the outcome of one roll or a series of rolls of two dice.
